Package Test
The Package Test is a variant of the Monadic Test designed specifically for testing packaging. Leveraging the ability of the Monadic Test to perform focussed testing of individual stimuli, the Package Test lets you:
- Select the best performing package
- Discover consumer attitude towards different packaging
- Focussed testing of consumer preference on metrics such as purchase intent
- Validate your packages prior to launch

Use the Package Test to determine the best packaging.
The survey flow consists of 7 package concepts with 4 questions for each concept.
The Package Test can be automatically translated to more than 30 languages.
Bring your own respondents or buy quality-assured panel respondents from us.
Main outputs of the Package Test

Summary of response table:
How does each packaging concept perform relative to the others?
The main output for the Package Test, this table displays the summary statistic for each question. It allows for an at-a-glance comparison between package concepts to help you determine the top performing packaging

Concept Passports:
What is the overall performance of each packaging concept?
Package concept passports shows an overview of how each package performed. It includes the summary metrics for every question and open-ended positive and negative feedback.

Concept correlations table:
Correlations measure the similarity between your packaging concepts, with a more positive correlation between two concepts indicating stronger similarity and a more negative correlation indicating more dissimilarity. Correlations can show you which packaging appeals to the same subset of respondents.

Detailed question output for a particular stimulus:
How did my packaging concepts perform on a particular question?
Inspect detailed metrics for each question, including the distribution of responses, medians, ranges, and participant counts. You can select which package concept to display outputs for using the drop-down selection at the top of the output.
How to set up a Package Test on Conjointly

Step 1
Indicate whether you want to display prices when testing your packaging concepts.

Step 2
Input your package concepts into the study. For each concept you can specify the name, an image (including text descriptions or videos), and price if selected in the previous step.

Step 3
Choose how you want to source your respondents. Depending on your targeting requirements, Conjointly offers three methods for obtaining respondents:
- Bring your own respondents to use a list of your customers or leads, source respondents from elsewhere, or to integrate with another survey.
- Target specific panel respondents to purchase responses from our panel network if you want to target specific respondents by location, demographics, and profiling questions.
- Use a pre-defined panel if you want to target specific respondents, such as your companies own pre-defined audience

Step 4
Save your experiment to add or modify the questions in the study. To add a question, click on the “Add question” button, select the type of question you wish to add, and then drag and drop the question into the Concept Testing block.

Step 5
Preview the survey as a participant to test your setup and prepare to launch.
