How does Conjoint.ly determine respondents' location?
By default, respondent location is determined from their IP address. This method is not precise as it often inaccurately places respondents who use mobile phones or who mask their IP with VPN services.
Alternatively, you can request that your respondents allow their location to be shared from their browser.
To enable this setting:
- Open the “Advanced settings” tab in your experiment.
- Select the “Ask respondents to share browser location” checkbox under the “Response quality management” module.
- Click the “Save changes” button at the bottom of your screen.
- You can also review respondents’ IP addresses and resolved locations in the Excel export file unless you choose to anonymise responses.
